Job Description
- Study and interprets drawings, manuals, specifications or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, sequence of operations and setup requirements.
- Load parts, operate controls, set offsets, perform edits, deburring and inspection of quality parts for conformance to requirements.
- Lift and position work pieces, manually or with hoists/jib crane.
- Communicates with lead hand for assignments and resolve machining or quality issues.
- Keep equipment and work area clean and orderly and perform basic preventative maintenance functions on equipment.
- Report deviations and all machine malfunctions to immediate supervisor.
- Work safely at all times and maintain a safe work area.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Minimum of 1-2 year experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
- Strong commitment to the performance of quality work.
- Well organized, with attention to detail.
- Ability to work with limited supervision, self-motivated & results oriented.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
- Positive attitude is a must.
